I have not been here for quite some time now. I have had a bunch of minor house repairs come up that have kept me busy. Also my youngest son become ill and required a trip to the emergency room. All is OK now but there has been very little time for sky watching. As soon as this arrives I will be getting back outside again.

He is completely recovered now. We are just thanks that we live in an area where a call to 911 results in a ambulance at your door in less the 5 minutes.
I am counting the days until my NexStar arrives. I just hope it is not still -20 outside when it does get here

As with any new scope purchase,you can count on clouds for a couple weeks
.When I first purchased my scope we had almost 2 full weeks of rain.We had almost a full years worth of precipitation in less than 24hours….it rained hard!!!.Be sure to write a post about your new toy.Criminy,I am almost as excited as you for your new scope…hahahahahaha!!!!!!!.

It should be here pretty soon. I also ordered a Deep Sky Imager. I am hoping that I will get some good pictures with that. We are getting some brutal winter weather right now. I am expecting it to get worse when my telescope arrives.
